Karina is the Founder and CEO of KARA, a modern activewear brand rooted in movement, confidence, and community.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Karina began dancing at the age of three, quickly discovering that movement was more than a hobby; it was her calling. She trained across a wide range of dance styles, including tap, jazz, hip hop, and contemporary, ultimately specializing in International Ballroom. Over the years, she has competed extensively, earning numerous titles, and has performed alongside well-known artists on some of the industry’s most iconic stages, including the Crypto.com Arena, Microsoft Theater, and Dolby Theatre.

With decades spent in studios, rehearsals, and performances, Karina developed a deep understanding of what the body needs to feel supported, confident, and free in motion. This experience directly shaped her vision for KARA—activewear designed to feel good, move effortlessly, and remain accessible without compromising quality.

In addition to her performance career, Karina has been a dance instructor since 2018, teaching at her childhood studio and passing on her knowledge, discipline, and passion to the next generation. She is also a fitness and wellness advocate, known for promoting a health-forward lifestyle rooted in balance, self-care, and consistency.

What began as a personal vision has grown into a thriving community. The KARAGirls have followed Karina’s journey from the start, helping transform KARA into more than a brand, it’s a movement built on self-expression, empowerment, and showing up fully in your own skin.
